I had two goodbyes to say this weekend, but I only expected one. Laurel left for the long haul. I can’t help but wonder if things will be different when next we meet, but I can’t worry about that now. She treated me with grace and allowed me to be my awkward self without batting an eye.

Sunday, Dana called to tell me that she had taken our dog to the vet because he was having seizures. He had four almost back to back and she knew it was time to let him go back to the earth. I didn’t even get to see him on my last trip down in August. My little man.
