About

Who is she and why does she get to speak her mind?

I started this blog in March of 2007 as a way to explore my new-found interest in butch/femme culture, and as an outlet for issues of sex, gender, queer relationships, and feminism. I had recently returned to my hometown from a year as a Christian missionary candidate. After ultimately realizing that I could not, and should not, suppress my lesbian identity. Spring 2009 brought many academic challenges to me and I spent a lot of time focusing on school with a passion I have never embodied before. I graduated in May 2009 with a Bachelor of Arts in Women’s Studies and pursued a Master of Library and Information Science for two years before fizzling out. in 2012 I relocated to Appalachia and have enjoyed the landscape, the people and the lifestyle so much.  Now, my summers are filled with Burning Man regional burns and trying to do something with my non-profit organization. There are so many things to experience and explore and examine, and there is so much joy in the journey. I now identify as a queer polyamorous pansexual trollop, and you will find stories of my adventures, as well as some sexuality and gender commentary.
